For info on Combatra's origin as Super Electromagnetic Robo Combattler V, see this page dedicated to this great combiner robo!

The U-Combine Battle Jet was part of the Shogun Combatra Vehicle set of 5 vehicles - Battle Jet was No. 1 and made up the head of the Combatra when assembled with the other five vehicles to form the completed giant robot.

As with the other vehicles that make up Combatra, the Battle Jet came in a small chip-box with a styrofoam insert and two accessory engine pods molded in yellow plastic piece that made up the wings that clipped into the back . Shooters on either side near the wing tips would fire yellow conical rockets. There's also a vertical tail fin (missing in my example).

There's a number "1" printed on the nose of the plane when wheels down, right in front of the pilot's cockpit. On the flipside there's a chrome sticker with the Popy logo and PA-79 (the original model designation) and a Combattler-V sticker below in Japanese.
