Famosa Robot Lanza Discos

Famosa Lanza Discos (Dragun)

This is Famosa's knock-off of Mattel's Dragun jumbo machinder. "Lanza Discos" in Spanish means "Throw Discs" in English so presumably the robot is named after the the Star Shooter - might have been more appropriately called "Lanza Hatcha." Otherwise this is a fairly accurate copy of a Mattel Dragon, albeit a bit shorter and simplified, molded in different colors (the cape and fists in black are very striking). The stickers are also pretty much a copy of the Mattel but with Mazinga legs rather than the legs found on the Mattel Dragon.

As you can see from my photo above, you end up getting only 5 stars for the Star Shooter and only 1 axe - I'd imagine that the axes to be fairly rare if not still in a sealed bag. The green star is unique to this version. As with other Famosa machinders in the Lanza series, Dragun shares the same box.

If it's not obvious, the plastic parts are very thin - some you can shine light through - molded very thin with some loss in detail - fists are often split along seams. They are also very light and tend to break if dropped, so fragile.
