Bullmark Mekanda Robo |
Bullmark in the early 70's was known more for their vinyl PVC toys as the survivor of the earlier Marusan who went bankrupt in 1968, focusing on plastic Kaiju toys and models. They produced many different sizes for several movie licenses, but are really best known for the Godzilla and Ultraman sofubi. They then expanded into the Zincron line of die-cast coming into the mid-70's for existing and new licensing. The company was fairly small compared to the giant Bandai/Popy so the production numbers of more complex toys seem to be fairly low. I believe they only made two figures that fit into the Jumbo Machinder category before closing shop in 1977:
It's a bit sad to think that if Bullmark had continued what they would have come up with based on their licensing.
