I've looked for this for some time - it was always a mystery regarding the 1977 Mattel Retailer Catalog and its lack of information on the chogokin that were released that year as part of the Shogun Warriors line. If you have the basic catalog, there's only a couple of pages detailing the jumbo machinders as part of the release (there are no additional numbered pages with info on the die-cast toys). I'd always assumed that there was either a one-sheet follow-up or something else. Recently I acquired a 1977 Mattel Retailer Catalog that had two additional single-sided printed sheets - one for Mattel's "Gun Collection" (these are holstered play cap-guns) and the other, at long last, detailing the die-cast Shogun Warrior toys.

The Shogun Warriors insert has a banner across the top with the general description and shows Dragun with a shooting fist. Below are the four Die-Cast. One thing to note, the images show Mazinga, Dragun and Raider with knees bent much more than other photos - assuming original Popy versions were used for the photography.
